After 12 years in senior HR/ER/IR roles with major corporates, I was keen to broaden out and develop new skills in executive search and selection, career transition, talent assessment and HR consulting. I knew of Reddin Group by reputation (and had checked them out extensively) and had the opportunity to meet with the partners there and talk about a career change. Long story short, I joined Reddin as a partner–elect.

This business stands out. Not only does it work across various industries and geographies, but many of its client relationships go back decades. Unlike many of the consultancies I had worked with as a client, I found Reddin listens to its clients, understands the real need, and the partners have a knack for designing and implementing people solutions that are creative and that contribute to their client’s businesses. They truly partner with their clients, understand their businesses and pain points, and they deliver results.

Early on, I was embedded in a Reddin client as their HRM. My role was all around change management and helping build a new and contemporary talent pipeline. Of course, I used Reddin Group to do this in partnership with me. They showed the ability in a candidate-poor market to produce quality shortlists that reflected excellent market insights. The partners were always honest and open in their communications with me and the line managers I represented. They were quick, thorough, never cut corners and always offered advice on the impact any candidate might have. I never felt “sold” to!

The company I was embedded in then offered me their HRD role. This was one of the most difficult career decisions I have ever had to make. The partners worked with me right through the process, and, again, I experienced how balanced, thoughtful and honest they are in everything they do. I did take up the HRD role, BUT I want it on record that Reddin Group remains my go-to partner for all things HR. I have used them extensively since taking up my new role and see this as the beginning of another 10-year partnership…..at least!
